Q & A:

1>Q: I ordered the  device but it does not recognize hard drives that  are
plugged in  after windows has booted. If I load hard drive, reboot  it
does  display the drive. I am afraid that the device is not  recognized
                 as  hot swap.

1> A: please email to mikew@okgear.com for update window 7 64bit driver.

2> Q: It will let me remove the device, but once i try to plug another hard
>> drive  nothing else is recognized until i restart with the harddrive in
>> the device.  Any suggestions?

2> A: First, my SATA device in my bios was set to IDE. This needs to be set
to AHCI for hot swap to work BUT...you cannot just change this in the
bios because Windows will not recognize it and throw either a blue
screen
or just continue to reboot repeatedly. You must force windows
to accept AHCI.

Registry setting change:

Found it here:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/244840-32-convert-sata-ahci-vista

Points to this Microsoft link
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976

Then you enable AHCI in bios, reboot and hot swap fixed.
